Herb Profile : Cleavers (Galium aparine)

This very common little plant is one of our early birds of spring along with stinging nettles. Its small leaves have tiny barbs, which adhere to ones clothes very effectively. It loves climbing wire netting fences and holds on with great enthusiasm.
