A multipurpose cream for cuts, grazes and cracked skin. Gentle enough to use on genital areas and face.

(including rosacea). Gentle enough to use with babies.

Chickweed cream
Cooling and anti-itch.

Comfrey cream
Healing for tissues and bones. Avoid using with deep, infected wounds since the deep infection could become 'locked in' by the promotion of rapid surface healing.

Frankincense and Myrrh regeneration body balm and lotion
For body, face and hands. Suitable for all skin types. For mature skin that feels 'tired' and dull. For weeping eczema; slow to heal wounds; stretch marks; fungal skin infections and cracked feet and hands. Avoid in pregnancy.

Pregnant women should avoid using this cream.

Horse Chestnut, Yarrow and Witch Hazel Cream

Yarrow and Horse Chestnut are traditionally used to help improve varicose veins. With the addition of Witch Hazel this cream may help the appearance of thread veins. Can be also useful to apply with varicose eczema.

Lavender Cream and Lotion

Liquorice Cream
May be used as a healing cream and on any inflammatory skin problem such as eczema or psoriasis. Excellent for genital thrush, genital herpes, shingles.

Traditionally used for blemished, oily, spotty and combination skin. Superb for premenstrual skin outbreaks, acne vulgaris and rosacea. Its beautiful aroma is calming and uplifting. An ideal face cream.

Rosemary, Bay and Ginger cream
This cream is warming and stimulating. It is ideal for use with muscular aches and strains and osteo-arthritic joints.

Precaution : Avoid direct exposure to a sunbed or strong sunlight on treated skin for 12 hours after application.

A light, non-oily antiseptic lotion for oily, spotty skin prone to outbreaks of spots or boils. Its antifungal action makes it suitable for athletes foot and fungal nail infections

Thuja cream
Traditionally used to "shrink" growths, including warts. It is thought to reduce the skin cell turnover in psoriasis. This cream has good antimicrobial properties

Witch Hazel Cream and lotion
A light and cooling, ideal for greasy skin or puffy areas such as under the eyes. It is ideal to use on weather-damaged skin and as a protective cream for those who spend much time out of doors.

Water phase: 70-80% of each cream consists of a water phase. This is made up of one or more of the following:-
a) pure aromatic water where the herb is distilled and the volatile components pass into water.
b) pure infusion where the herb is steeped in boiling water, strained and the water used.
c) decoction where the herb or herbs are simmered in water, strained and the water used.

Oil phase:
The vegetable oils used are mainly St. John's Wort oil, avocado or hemp seed oil (unrefined and organic). Also jojoba oil (organic); unrefined olive oil and evening primrose oil; unrefined and organic rosehip oil, wheat germ oil and apricot kernel oil.

Avocado oil:
Extracted from the flesh of the fruit, which contains up to 30% pure oil. This oil is rich in many nutrients including Vitamin A and D, lecithin, potassium and chlorophyll. It is particularly good for facial creams, has its own moisturising properties and helps to nourish mature and weather damaged skin.

Essential oils:
These have been added to some creams to supplement the effect of the aromatic water and heighten the aroma of the creams.

Shea butter:
Made from the crushed nuts of the African shea tree. It has been used in skin and hair care for centuries. It makes creams thicker and more moisturising. It is rich in oleic acid, an essential fatty acid.
